Project Description

Wanting to create a more open and inviting floor plan, our client sought to replace the original dated, U-shaped kitchen with a convenient, casual design that flowed into a new lounge space. We relocated the 10-seat dining table to the formal living room to make room for the new lounge, and created a component design for the kitchen with a range niche, buffet, refrigerator and rectangular island with sink and seating. Traditional materials including rich, dark cabinetry and rain-glass upper cabinet doors complement the homeowner’s décor, Arched openings soften the new entryways to the lounge, hallway and family room, and new wood flooring throughout the first floor adds a warmer, welcoming feel.
