Project Description

Remodeling Goals/Challenges:
With a sunk-in tile bath, outdated cabinets and a low ceiling, the master bath of this Rancho Bernardo home felt old, cramped and dark. The owners envisioned a bathroom remodel transforming the space into a contemporary, relaxing retreat with ample space and height. Moreover, because the bathroom opened to the master bedroom, they wanted the design of the bath to complement their mission-style bedroom decor.

Design Solutions:
Our design solution both modernized the dated space and ensured it would flow seamlessly into the adjoining master bedroom. We filled in the old tile bathtub and installed a luxurious jetted tub in its place. A new dome ceiling, custom-designed to match the tub’s distinctive shape, evokes a sense of height and opens the room. The custom-made cabinetry and tub skirt matches the mission-style bedroom furniture, while the 12×12” marble tile complements the existing tile around the bedroom fireplace. Low-level lighting, added to the cabinet toe kicks and ceiling dome, enhances the appealing ambiance of the new master suite.

Client Comments:
“When our master bedroom remodel was completed, it far surpassed our initial thoughts and hopes. We appreciate what you did and are so very pleased with the results! Thank you for all your hard work and we look forward to working with you in the future.” Scott and Lynn H.
