Project Description

Our client had just purchased this 1950s home and was eager to open the isolated kitchen into the flow of the living area. The kitchen’s small, U-shaped layout was very cramped with limited storage; the client wanted to create a simple, functional galley-style kitchen with seating at an island bar-top – all while taking advantage of the space’s sweeping 180-degree ocean views. We designed a raised bar-top that seats six and opens to the galley and living area, and chose earthy granite counters and cherry Shaker-style cabinets to enhance the clean, simple lines.
