Project Description

This master bathroom remodel included modifications of the interior structure of the bathroom; allowing for a walk-in shower with quartz clad walls, new water closet, built-in linen cabinets and a new master vanity. The homeowners were interested in expanding their existing master bath area without encroaching upon their master bedroom or exterior deck. They expressed their desire for a more spacious bathroom and enhanced flow throughout the space.

Remodeling Goals/Challenges
Specific challenges for the design of this project included an existing master closet that had recently been remodeled that the homeowners did not want altered, multi-angled vaulted ceilings in the master suite, and the desire to create a large walk-in shower amid the existing bathroom space while still allowing for a generous linen cabinet area. The clients were highly opposed to grout due to cleaning concerns, so grout-free shower walls were implemented for easy cleaning.

Design Solutions
The challenges for this San Diego bathroom remodel were conquered by removing the existing bathtub and re-orienting the layout of the entire bathroom. We reciprocated with beautiful, shimmery vanilla quartz that extended 96” in height. This also included a custom poured marble shower panWith the implemented design the new master bath is efficient and spacious, providing the Blanco’s with a large, clean walk-in shower, a beautiful dual vanity with custom tiled red onyx, ample linen storage and a private water closet.
