This downtown San Diego condo has incredible views of the city skyline, but the original kitchen was closed off from them, and the low seven-foot ceiling made the space feel even more isolated. We removed walls to open the kitchen to the dining and living areas, providing beautiful views of the city lights.
We created a warm, elegant feel with vertical wood slab cabinets, quartz countertops with a simple drop-down edge detail, glass tile back splash and amber pendant lights, and added soffit details to incorporate specialty LED lighting. The materials extend to a buffet entertainment space just off of the kitchen, which also features wine storage and refrigeration and floating, stainless steel-framed awning upper cabinets. All of the details reflect the clean lines and contemporary style of the condo’s interior.
